All of the GCC projects also boast remarkable features and a commitment to the construction schedule.<\/p>\n

While all GCC projects share a common value, to enhance the region’s economy and tourism<\/strong>, they are all unique. Long awaited, these six GCC projects are just a few years away from completion<\/strong>. From Abu Dhabi’s tantalizing shores and Dubai’s vibrant life to Doha’s lively skyline, these projects are every investor’s dream come true.<\/p>\n

Here are 6 incredible GCC projects<\/strong> that are due for completion by 2021.<\/p>\n

1.\u00a0Deira Islands Mall \u2013 Deira Islands<\/strong><\/em><\/h2>\n

\"Deira<\/p>\n

Located on Deira Islands in Dubai,\u00a0Deira Islands Mall is due for completion in 2020<\/strong>. A $1.8 billion project<\/strong>, the three-story shopping mall <\/strong>features retail, dining, entertainment, a1km-long retractable glass atrium, and two hotels. Moreover, it includes\u00a04.5 million sq. ft. of leasable space<\/strong>, a 15,000 sq. ft. entertainment zone<\/strong>, and sports and recreational facilities including a running track. It also features department stores, luxury and fashion retail spaces<\/strong>, hypermarket, and cinema. As well as a family entertainment center, restaurants, caf\u00e9s and 12,500 parking spaces.<\/p>\n

A group of artificial islands in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, Deira Islands were originally names\u00a0Palm Deira. Initially, the Deira Islands project was planned to be a part of the Palm Islands.<\/p>\n

2. Al Marayah Central – Abu Dhabi<\/strong><\/em><\/h2>\n

A $1 billion\u00a0retail-led mixed-use development<\/strong>, Al Marayah Central is due for completion in December 2019<\/strong>. The mall will boast over 400 brands<\/strong>, including the first Bloomingdale\u2019s in Abu Dhabi and the first Macy\u2019s outside of the USA<\/strong>. Moreover, it will feature 100 restaurants,\u00a0Family World, and Adventure Park. Al Maryah Central will also include\u00a0hotel and serviced apartments<\/strong> across\u00a0two 400,000-square-feet integrated residential towers, which are set\u00a0for completion by 2019.<\/p>\n

Combined with The Galleria on Al Maryah Island,\u00a0Al Maryah Central will span 2.8 million-square-feet.<\/strong> Furthermore, Al Maryah Central’s\u00a0mall, dining precinct, parks, and\u00a0promenade, will be fully connected across Al Maryah Island with air-conditioned access to The Galleria. Al Maryah Central is also within proximity to\u00a0Abu Dhabi Island, Reem Island, and Saadiyat Island<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

3. ICD Brookfield Place – Dubai<\/strong><\/em><\/h2>\n

\"ICD<\/p>\n

Due for completion by April 2019<\/strong>, ICD Brookfield Place is 53-story mixed-use development valued at $1 billion<\/strong>. Located in the central district of DIFC, the project site spans an area of 4 acres<\/strong>. It features 140,000 square feet of retail space<\/strong>, fine dining, cafes, and a food market. Moreover, it includes a health and fitness facility and a 55,000 square feet private members club<\/strong>.\u00a0ICD Brookfield\u00a0place also boasts 980,000 square feet of office space<\/strong> and 2700 car parks. Conveniently located between two metro stops, the project is connected to\u00a0Al Sa’ada Street and Gate Avenue.<\/p>\n

Established in 2004, the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) is a special economic zone in Dubai. It also features two hotels, art galleries, restaurants, cafes, shopping, and the lifestyle destination: Gate Avenue.<\/p>\n

4.\u00a0Dubai Towers \u2013 Doha<\/strong><\/em><\/h2>\n

Set to be\u00a0the tallest tower in Qatar<\/strong>, Dubai Towers is located in Doha’s West Bay district, near the Doha Corniche. Due for completion in February 2021<\/strong>,\u00a0the 437-meter high structure has an estimated value of around $632 million<\/strong>. Set to feature\u00a0a 7,000-m2<\/sup>\u00a0retail area<\/strong>, the 84-story multi-use tower<\/strong> also includes 29 floors of office space<\/strong>. It will also include13 floors comprising a 225-room five-star hotel<\/strong> with a health center, a gymnasium, restaurants, and business center. In addition to 31 floors containing 226 luxury apartments and three super luxury penthouses<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Contracted to a joint venture between Al-Habtoor and Al Jaber, Dubai Towers is being developed by Sama Dubai.\u00a0Robert Matthew Johnson Marshall (RMJM) are the architects and engineering consultants for the project.<\/p>\n

5. Silicon Park – Dubai<\/strong><\/em><\/h2>\n

\"Silicon<\/p>\n

Located in Dubai Silicon Oasis, Silicon Park is a $354 million\u00a0integrated smart city due for completion in Q1 2019<\/strong>. With an area of 150,000 square meters<\/strong>, the project includes\u00a020 mid-rise buildings<\/strong>, 71,000 square meters of office space<\/strong>, and 25,000 square meters of commercial space<\/strong>. In addition to a 46,000 square meters residential area<\/strong>, and a115-key business hotel<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, Silicon Park\u00a0is compliant with the UAE Green Building Regulations and Specifications, as well as the international LEED standard. The entire project will be built with green building material, solar panels, and double-glazed windows<\/strong>. Moreover, it will boast\u00a0charging-docks for smart devices<\/strong> on the street to smart pop-up furniture and digital play tables. Free Wi-fi<\/strong> will also\u00a0available to tenants and visitors.<\/p>\n

Silicon Park also includes\u00a0health and fitness centers and running and cycling trails<\/strong>. There are no vehicles<\/strong> on the premises, instead, electric vehicles and smart rechargeable electric bikes<\/strong> will be used as the main means of transport across the development.\u00a0Charging stations will be available throughout the project.<\/p>\n

6. Bluewaters Island – Dubai<\/strong><\/em><\/h2>\n

Finally on our list of upcoming GCC projects is the much anticipated Bluewaters Island. Located 500 meters from the Jumeirah Beach Residence, Bluwaters Island is due for completion in Q1 2018<\/strong>. The $1.6 billion project<\/strong> includes\u00a0entertainment, hospitality, residential, and retail zones. Moreover, it is expected to attract over three million visitors annually<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Bluewaters Island also boasts the $272 million Dubai Eye<\/strong>. The 210-meter Ferris wheel is set to be the tallest in the world if completed<\/strong>. It will be taller than the world’s current\u00a0tallest Ferris wheel, the 167.6\u00a0m (550\u00a0ft) High Roller, which opened in Las Vegas in March 2014. Dubai Eye will also stand taller than\u00a0the 190.5\u00a0m (625\u00a0ft) New York Wheel on Staten Island, which is scheduled to open in April 2018.<\/p>\n

With a capacity of holding\u00a0up to 1,400 passengers in its 48 capsules<\/strong>, Dubai Eye will provide views of\u00a0Dubai Marina, Burj Al Arab, Palm Jumeirah, and Burj Khalifa<\/strong>. Furthermore, its base will feature\u00a0an 80-meter LED screen<\/strong> used\u00a0for broadcasting, advertisements, and other information.<\/p>\n
