href=\"https:\/\/www.weetas.com\/article\/category\/construction\/\">construction<\/a> sector in Bahrain witnessed <strong>launching a full-raft of large scale projects<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>This comes as a part of Bahrain Government\u2019s strategy to diversify its sources of income and reduce its dependence on oil revenues.<\/p>\n<p>Rolling out projects of such proportions reflects the government\u2019s intention to carry on the same track of economic development despite the unfavorable conditions.<\/p>\n<p>The launched projects vary in type between hydrocarbon industries, infrastructure, properties and hotels, and manufacturing.<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s a list showcasing some of <strong>the most significant projects.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>King Hamad Causeway<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6632\" fraternal relations between Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Bahrain Kingdom.<\/p>\n<p>The project\u2019s construction value is estimated to hit <strong>$7.2<\/strong> billion, and it\u2019s expected to be completed by <strong>2025<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Stretching over 25 kms between <strong>Dammam and Bahrain\u2019s Budaiya<\/strong>, the bridge is regarded as an integral part Gulf Transportation Program which will bind all GCC states together.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Bapco Refinery Expansion <\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone developing Bapco\u2019s refinery located in Sitra.<\/p>\n<p>The project aims to boost the\u00a0capacity of Bahrain\u2019s only oil refinery from<strong> 267,000 <\/strong>bpd<strong> to 360,000 <\/strong>bpd<strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s worth mentioning that Bapco is fully owned by Bahrain government and it works in oil extraction, refinement, and distribution.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Bahrain International Airport Expansion <\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full increasing its annual capacity to 1.4 million passengers, Bahrain has launched a<strong> $1.1 billion<\/strong> expansion project on its only international airport.<\/p>\n<p>Construction and development works are carried out by a joint venture between UAE\u2019s Arabtec and Turkey&#8217;s TAV Construction.<\/p>\n<p>Handing over will take place by <strong>mid-2019<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The project includes establishing a new terminal, services building, and a new aircraft apron.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Gas Terminal <\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" between Bahrain government and a consortium of global companies on establishing a BHD250 million gas terminal.<\/p>\n<p>The project comprises a floating storage unit, \u00a0an offshore gas receiving facility, a subsea gas pipelines, and an onshore gas receiving platform.<\/p>\n<p>The terminal\u2019s initial capacity will be 400 million cubic feet per day.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Al Tijaria Tower <\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6627\" (Bipex).<\/p>\n<p>A 50-floor residential tower in the heart of Seef district which will carry the company name.<\/p>\n<p>Upon completion, Al Tijaria Tower will be <strong>Bahrain tallest residential building<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The project stands in a strategic location only a few minutes from Bahrain International Airport, King Fahd Causeway, and Bahrain\u2019s top commercial centers like Seef Mall and City Center.<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, the tower lies in a close proximate to a number of cultural landmarks like Bahrain National Museum.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Avenues or \u201cSaada\u201d project is meant to take advantage of the area\u2019s high potential as one of Bahrain\u2019s most significant heritage sites.<\/p>\n<p>As a part of the construction, Muharraq Souq will be revamped and linked to the new waterfront via a walking bridge.<\/p>\n<p>The BHD45 million project includes also a number of communal, commercial, and recreational facilities such as multi-storey parking lot and restaurants area.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Al Sidra <\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full
