Approval of the formation of the Central Owners Union for Amwaj Islands

The General Assembly of the Central Owners Union for the Amwaj Islands project held a meeting during which the members of the Board of Directors of the Central Owners Union were appointed, and the formation of the Central Owners Union for the Amwaj Islands was approved by the owners, and members of the Board of Directors of the Central Owners Union were also elected.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, CEO of the Real Estate Regulatory Agency, said: “The corporation calls on owners of real estate units in projects with common parts to engage, create and activate the owners’ association for their real estate. ” Establishing these unions, electing the board of directors, determining service fees and how to manage those properties

Al Khalifa added that the formation of the Amwaj Islands of the Central Owners Union is a milestone in the formation of owners’ associations for common properties in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

It is noteworthy that the Amwaj Islands project consists of four main islands, which are Asdaf, which is the Big Island, Tala, Marjan and Najma, where the number of real estate in Amwaj Islands is about 1,200 properties, making up nearly 7000 housing units (lands, residential villas, apartments).

The Amwaj Islands are inhabited by about 13,000 people, and 50% of the island has been developed, which contains commercial activities in the Lagoon region in addition to a group of hotels and residential complexes.
