The number of real estate developers working in Dubai this year reached 194 companies led by Emaar, Nakheel, Dubai Properties, Maras Holding, Maydan, Wasl Properties, Deyaar, and many other.
The number of projects under construction in Dubai reached 379. Developers number hike by 51.5% and projects rise by 78% compared to 2013.
The director general of Dubai Lands Department Sultan bin Migrin was quoted answering Al Bayan Al Iqtisady questions saying that there are 379 mixed-use properties working in Dubai to satisfy housing applicants’ needs, job seekers, and those looking for entertainment.
Bin Migrin cleared that the applied policies in the market doesn’t seek increasing the number of developers or the number of projects, but focuses on compliant developers and the valuable projects that offers added value to the city and the whole economy. He assured that the department by dealing in the market combines between flexibility and precision in applying laws spirit and meaning.
