Abu Dhabi Municipality, Abu Dhabi, has completed the AED 28.8 million Al Zahiyah Development Project in collaboration with Abu Dhabi Public Services Company, Musadah and the Ministry of Transport.
Al Zahiyah project is located in an area of about 277,500 square meters, divided into 69,000 square meters of main roads, 43300 square meters of secondary roads, 164,000 square meters of streets, covering parts of 12 East and 14 East.
ADM said the project included restoring service facilities, improving traffic, and redeveloping pedestrian corridors and infrastructure, such as telecommunications, water and electricity, as well as lighting new streets, traffic signs and rainwater drainage from Al Fardous Street to 10th Street.
The Municipality also pointed out that Al Zahiyah project aims to improve the infrastructure, services and local facilities, in line with the general development of the Emirate. This project is part of Abu Dhabi Media Company’s keenness to achieve the vision of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, to provide high-quality infrastructure and meet the needs of the entire community in line with international standards.
The project is also being monitored by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
