Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces revealed earlier this week the newest and largest housing project in Abu Dhabi called, Riyadh City.
Named after KSA capital, Riyadh City sprawls over an area of 8,000 hectares, equivalent to 85 percent of the area of Abu Dhabi Island and approximately 45 percent of Abu Dhabi’s total residential land area. The project will be located 30 kilometres from Abu Dhabi downtown and it can accommodate up to 200,000 citizens.
The project will feature residential neighbourhoods with controlled population densities, in addition to a wide range of public facilities that include parks, schools, shops, mosques, and medical and community service centres, which will comply with the highest standards of sustainability.
It is worth mentioning that the city aims to create a modern, integrated and sustainable community in the South Shamkha, North Wathba area.
