The Sharjah Healthcare City Authority has announced that the Abu Dhabi-based Ahlia Group is going to develop a $100m healthcare facility in Sharjah Healthcare City.
With a site that spans nearly 50,000 square meters of space, the hospital’s planned capacity reaches up to 120 beds. It is going to be the first hospital to be built within Sharjah Healthcare City.
In his comment on the new project announcement, His Excellency Abdulla Ali Al Mahyan, chairman of both Sharjah Health Authority and SHCC expressed his enthusiasm to cooperate with Ahlia Group in the healthcare city’s first project.
Al Mahyan added that he is delighted to announce that the plans for the healthcare city have been doubled to ensure that it is going to fulfill its vision of providing best possible healthcare and medical treatment to the emirate’s residents and visitors.
Originally planned to span around 2.4 million square meters of land, the site of Sharjah Healthcare City is predicted to be doubled to become 4.8 million square meters in order to house the world’s top hospitals and healthcare facilities.
The construction works of the city are expected to begin within the second half of the current year, and it will be developed in multiple phases.
