The new Al Bahair market will be inagurated directly after Ramadan as most renovation works are almost done. The renovation process comes as a part of Amlak’s wholistic strategy to renovate 12 markets around Bahrain.
The development process included tearing down the old structure and reconstructing it in accordance to modern building patterns to meet shoppers’ and retailers’ demands. The market consists of 30 shops.
Shops’ sizes vary between 30 and 600 meters. The CEO of Amlak Mohamed Al Kooheji said that the company has already received rent requests from many retailers including renowned pharmacy and supermarket.
Electricity will be connected to the project next week. Amlak’s scheme to renovate the project includes introducing solar power to illuminate public spaces in addition to gardening these areas.
Rental prices in the new market will be lower than the average rental price in the kingdom, according to Mohamed Al Kooheji.
