Aldar Properties has unveiled details of a new $2.72bn master plan for a mega-project near Abu Dhabi’s border with Dubai. Alghadeer will comprise 14,408 diverse housing units.The mega project incorporates Aldar’s existing development with the same name, which boasts more than 2,000 homes.
Spreading over a total residential gross floor area exceeding 1.3 million square meters, the mix-use development will comprise villas, townhouses and apartments, in addition to office space, retail space, hospitality, and education and community amenities.
Construction of the first phase is expected to start later this year and be completed in 2021. Aldar said it will launch the first neighborhood, comprising 611 residential units, this week.
