Succeeding the completion of Souq Al Buhair’s redevelopment, Amlak Social Insurance Organization Development Co. has announced its plan to renovate more local community markets in Bahrain.
Amlak is the real-estate arm and wholly-owned subsidiary of the Social Insurance Organization and this plan comes in line with the organization’s strategy to serve the community and raise the standard of living.
Amlak plans to redevelop a total of 70 shops across three local community markets: Souq Abu Dhar, Souq Ibn Al Waleed and Souq Al Madina. The three markets have been selected for renovation because of their popularity and strategic locations.
This plan aims to raise the standard of retail offering for the local community by presenting contemporary facilities with diversified retail shops in the selected high-density areas.
Mr. Abdulrahman Yusuf bin Yusuf Fakhro ,Chairman of Amlak, said in a statement: “The vision behind the project is to enrich the Kingdom’s communities by strengthening business activities through the development of versatile markets to cater to surrounding residents, starting off with Souq Al Buhair. The project is in line with Amlak’s strategy to serve the community and raise the standard of neighborhood offerings, as well as its commitment to contribute to the Kingdom’s economic growth.”
