Arabtec Engineering Services, one of the subsidiaries of the leading Dubai-based engineering and construction services group Arabtec Holding, has been awarded a $42m contract for sewerage infrastructure works in Al Khawaneej, Dubai.
In his comment on the contract award, Hamish Tyrwhitt, the CEO of Arabtec Holding group, assured that the new contract reflects the group’s commitment to diversity its business through participating in building the infrastructure of Dubai.
As per the contract, Arabtec Engineering Services will see the development of sewerage network that will span around 65 kilometers and stormwater drainage network that will span around 91 kilometers that will require around 17 kilometers of micro-tunneling work.
It is worth mentioning that, in April 2018, Arabtec Engineering Services has won a similar contract for the industrial sewerage and drainage networks for Jebel Ali with a value that exceeded the $117m mark/
Also, earlier this month, the engineering services’ providing subsidiary of Arabtec Holding has published its financial statements and figures of the first half of the year 2018 in which it recorded a $30.7m of net profit, which is considered a 97% increase in in comparison to the net profit of $15.5m recorded in the first half of 2017.
