The Art of Living Mall will be the first of its kind in the Middle East; as it will be a specialized mall for furniture and home accessories.
The mall spreads over 508,000 square foot in Al Barsha2 with a leasable area of 250,000 square foot. It will house around 100 various shopping outlets including home furnishing products such as carpets, furniture, interiors, lights, curtains and art among others.
Samer Al Omari, chief executive officer, MMS Global Investments, the developer of the mall, said in a statement that the company is currently in the process of leasing the mall.
“We have received applications from interested companies and within one month we will finalize all the applications and agreement with the companies. We want to have a right tenant mix; therefore, I can’t disclose the names now. But we we’ll have a lot of big Italian and local brands,” he said.
With a cost of around 700,000,000 AED, the mall is scheduled to open in September 2018. The company will replicate the same concept in other parts of the UAE as well as other GCC countries. Opening more furniture outlets in UAE is already in action.
“Next one will be in Abu Dhabi. We hope it will be operational by 2020,” Al Omari added.
