Damac Properties, the leading UAE-based real estate developer, has announced the issuance of the construction tender for the second tower in Aykon City, its master development project in the emirate of Dubai.
In his comment on the news, Mohammed Tahaineh, Damac Properties’ senior vice president of commercial department explained that Damac expects to choose the winning bidder by next May. Tahaineh added that the construction and development work of the city is currently progressing at a fast pace.
The tower is the second of six towers included in the project; it will span more than 157,000 square meters to comprise 49 residential floors, 10 podium levels, and three basements. Additionally, there will be a single floor dedicated to lifestyle and entertainment amenities.
As one of Damac Properties’ largest master developments up to date, Aykon City is being constructed over the area of 372,000 square meters on the eastern and western sides of Sheikh Zayed Road at the Safa Park Intersection. Aykon City will house a large community lifestyle complex that will include several entertainment facilities and amenities.
It is also worth mentioning that, last month, Damac has awarded China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC) a $163m contract to build the first of the six towers.
