Chosen from a very long list of companies from the GCC, 6 companies from Bahrain are shortlisted for MEED Awards.
The UAE dominated the list with 102 finalists, followed by Saudi Arabia with 20, Oman with 7, Bahrain with 6, followed by Kuwait with 4 and Qatar with 1.
MEED Awards selected and evaluated thousands of companies and stakeholders to recognize their contribution to the region’s amazing growth over the past period of time. Key cities in the region have grown to become important global business and trading hubs, and a lot of companies and projects contributed to that.
According to MEED Projects data, over $2 trillion worth of active projects are currently in the pipeline across the GCC.
The jury assessed how each company has contributed to the development of the GCC through its business achievements, environmental sustainability programs, workforce culture, innovative practices, and client service.
A total of 140 companies were shortlisted across various award categories.
The finalists will undergo another round of screening to determine this year’s winners which will be announced on 29 November 2017 at The Conrad Hotel, Dubai, UAE.

Real Estate Developer of the Year Award: Diyar al-Muharraq
