Investcorp, a leading Bahraini investment firm, has announced the expansion of its European portfolio with the acquisition of Scandinavia’s cyber security firm Coresec Systems AB.
Coresec was established in 2003 and offers integrated cyber security solutions and managed services to corporates and institutions. It boasts over 250 employees in seven offices and several 24/7 manned Network and Security Operation Centres. The company’s security experts offer security advice and assistance to a multitude of clients in Scandinavia and the Netherlands.
For Investcorp, acquiring Coresec will further propel the company’s dream of becoming a pan-European player, especially after it acquired cyber security firm SecureLink last year. The addition of Coresec brings Investcorp’s combined revenue to €200 million. This also marks the firm’s second acquisition in the Scandinavian market, following Swedish skiing and cycling equipment manufacturer POC.
The company’s European team has experienced a period of peak activity within the last 12 months, more than any other period in its 3-decade history, due to four new deals and eight exits.
