By order of Prime Minister, Bahrain suspends collecting rents from the SCE units

Due to the current conditions and Coronavirus outbreak , Bahrain’s Prime Minister Sheikh Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa has ordered to suspend the collection of rents from tenants and beneficiaries of leased shops and lands registered in the name of the Supreme Council for the Environment “SCE” for three months. The prime minister also ordered the concerned authorities to take the necessary measures to implement the plans to develop “Tubli Bay” and to preserve its natural environment to treat and control the damages that affect wildlife and marine life, and to beautify its surrounding area.


This comes as a concern of His Royal Highness, the Prime Minister of Bahrain, to serve the citizens, meet their demands, and preserve the public interest.

“Supreme Council for Environment”. This entity is tasked to assist the Kingdom of Bahrain’s government in preserving and managing its environment, maintaining its natural and marine resources, its wildlife, as well as its biodiversity, and following up on the implementation of the strategies with relevant ministries, agencies, and institutions.

Its subsidiaries include Al Areen Wildlife Park, Arad Bay Protected Area, and Park, as well as the National Oil Spill Response Command Center.
