Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al-Khalifa, Wife of His Majesty and President of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), will patronize a conference on Sunday November 5th, at Isa Cultural Centre on, in tribute to Bahraini women engineers.
The conference will be held in cooperation with Bahrain Society of Engineers under the theme “Sustainable Achievement. International Competitiveness”.
The conference will scrutinize the reality of Bahraini women engineers in the labor market and focus on their presence and participation in the public and private sectors. And also on challenges facing women working in the engineering sector.
Her Royal Highness Princess Soltana bint Badr bin Saud Al-Saud, Urban Development Programs director and board member of Bunyan Women’s Charitable Association for Family Development will be the keynote speaker at the opening session.
The upcoming conference is part of festivities and activities marking the annual Bahrain Women’s Day, which will celebrate this year women engineers.
The conference features three sessions which will be held respectively under the themes “Women’s participation in the engineering sector” and “Labor Market needs and promising engineering specialties for Bahraini women”. The third session will be held under the theme “The role of civil society vocational institution and the utility of networking with international organizations to expand women engineers’ prospects”.
