Construction of the main part of One Za’abeel project in Dubai has started after the first stage, which included a 132 hour-long concrete pour, was finished. Now that all the diggings and the foundation works are done, the construction of seven underground levels is under way.
The project includes two adjacent towers, 67 and 57 stories high, raised on top of a retail center and connected by a bridge floor suspended 100 meters above the ground.
The project is being developed by Ithra Dubai, which is a subsidiary fully owned by Investment Corporation of Dubai (ICD). And the main contractor working on the project is ALEC.
One Za’abeel project is scheduled for completion by the end of 2020. When completed, the development will cover a total area of 480,000 square meters distributed across the two towers, the Linx, the 3-floor Gallery and its seven basement levels.
The project will include a couple of luxury hotels and a residential development as well as commercial space which will offer the public a choice of attractions, restaurants and lounges.
Issam Galadari, director and CEO of Ithra Dubai said, “After the pour, it is only a matter of time before One Za’abeel and its “Linx”, the panoramic sky concourse traversing the two towers, reshape the ever-exciting Dubai Skyline,”
