Damac Properties, the dubai-based leading real estate developed, has awarded a AED 163m contract to China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC) for its tower project at its Aykon City development.
In his comment on awarding the contract to CSCEC, Mohammed Tahaineh, senior vice president of Damac Properties said that the tower’s contract is a milestone towards branding Aykon City as one of Damac Properties’ largest master developments. He added that Damac chose CSCEC as the contractor to be the main contractor of the project as they are one of the largest contractors in the world.
The tower, which will be situated near the Dubai Water Canal, will comprise 53 high-end serviced residential units. The contract will include the main construction works for the project which are estimated to utilize over 11,000 tons of steel and about 95,000 metric cubes of concrete. The construction works will begin on March 1, 2018.
The tower comes as a part of Aykon City, a master development project which spans 372,000 square meters on both the eastern and the western sides of Sheikh Zayed road at the Safa Park intersection. The master development will also house several high-end entertainment facilities including restaurants, a spa, a beach club and swimming pools.
