Damac Properties, the leading Dubai-based real estate developer, has awarded a $139m contract to China State Construction and Engineering Corporation Middle East (CSCECME), the construction international giant, for its iconic Aykon City project.
In his comment on the contract award, Ali Sajwani, the general manager of operations at Damac Properties explained that the developer’s choice of CSCEC was for the latter’s known commitment to high quality standards and timely delivery, which Damac seeks to achieve through all of its developments.
Sajwani added that Aykon City is considered one of Damac’s biggest projects to date due to its location which will grant its residents an access to a waterway that spans 3 kilometers running from the Dubai Creek to the Arabian Gulf.
As per the new contract, CSCECME will be responsible for constructing Tower C, also known as The Residence. Spanning more than 16.5 hectares of land, Tower C will include 62 stories that comprise two basement stories, one ground story, 10 podium stories, one lifestyle story, and 48 residential stories which include studio apartments, one-bedroom apartments, two-bedroom apartments, and three-bedroom apartments.
It is worth mentioning that, earlier this year, CSCECME has been awarded another contract for Tower B in Damac’s master development.
