Shaikh Khaled bin Humood Al Khalifa,The Chief Executive Officer of the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA), inaugurated the renovated Diplomat Radisson Blu Hotel Residence and Spa.
The inauguration of the hotel was held in the presence of the Chairman of the National Hotels Company, Mr. Faisal Al Zayani, the Chief Executive Officer of National Hotels Company, Mr. Abdulrahman Morshed and the General Manager of the hotel, Mr. Kosta Kourotsidis.
The total cost of the project was around 7.4 Million BHD. The work included the renovation of 246 guest rooms, hotel lobby and the main restaurant as well as the addition of a new café.
“We are delighted to witness the unveiling of the renovated hotel and the improvement in the quality of services offered for guests, coinciding with the various festival and events that are being held in the Kingdom. Developing the tourism facilities and services will further enhance the Kingdom’s tourism infrastructure, which is considered one of the main pillars under BTEA’s strategy to further strengthen the tourism sector,” said the Chief Executive Officer of the BTEA, H.E. Shaikh Khaled bin Humood Al Khalifa.
