Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority (DSOA), the regulatory body for Dubai Silicon Oasis (DSO), has completed the Dh56 million ($15.2 million) student-housing complex over an area of 10,000 square meters.
The complex’s four buildings, each with three floors, can accommodate up to 432 students within its various sized fully furnished units. Students from DSO-based Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT-Dubai) as well as Dubai International Academic City will be met with the latest international standards.
Retail shops, food and beverage outlets, recreational common areas, and study halls will be available on the buildings’ ground floor. Avaya will grant free Wi-Fi access to residents across the grounds, in order to provide them with their academic and personal needs.
The entirety of the complex will include indoor routers with expandable range, ensuring that every room has access to this wireless solution. The recently released Avaya Access Switches ERS4900 Series, that comes with high-performance and Fabric-attach capability, will connect the routers.
Avaya was specifically chosen as the student complex’s technology provider because of its continuous proven excellence in the field and its existing relationship with DSO. Its impeccable Internet solutions will allow DSO to provide solutions and applications safely and swiftly across the campus.
DSO is a free zone technology park for large enterprises and medium and small companies. The Dubai government wholly owns it.
