Dubai Hills Mall, a world-class retail destination that is situated in Dubai Hills Estate, has reached the 60% completion mark as per Emaar Properties latest announcement.
In his comment on the announcement, Ahmed El Martoushi, the managing director of Emaar Properties said that he is glad with the pace of the mall’s construction works, explaining that Dubai Hills Mall will be a unique contribution to the retail market of Dubai because of its location in one of the largest mega developments in Dubai which will offer the retailers a lucrative investment.
A 750-store retail center, Dubai Hills Mall spans more than 185,000 square meters and comes as a part of the mega development of Dubai Hills Estate, a joint venture between Emaar Properties and Meraas. So far, half of the structure works of the project have been finished, while the steel works for the 18-screen cinema complex and the glass roof have begun.
In addition to that, Dubai Hills Mall will comprise a supermarket that spans 5,899 square meters of space and a car park that can house up to 7,000 cars.
The mall will also comprise solar panels that will produce 6.5 megawatts of electricity each year, which will help save more than $32m in energy costs over 25 years and will make the mall one of the most sustainable retail developments in Dubai.
