Dubai Holding has released a detailed and approved masterplan for Jumeirah Central , which is estimated at AED74 billion.
Jumeriah Central aims to be the most advanced future city with an environmentally and socially balanced persona.
The project covers more than 47 million square feet, with a design that ensures easy movement. Road networks can be adjusted in phases, allowing the application of innovative solutions that meet the requirements of a futuristic lifestyle.
Mohammed Abdullah Al Gergawi, chairman of Dubai Holding, said: “Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum has added his personal touches to the Jumeirah Central project.”
Gergawi stressed that the new city is a laboratory for the latest science and technology findings that contribute to easier lifestyles.
The project focuses on providing a real community environment that supports and enriches social interaction in Dubai.
As the first mixed-use project, Jumeirah Central seeks to provide a vibrant environment that meets economic needs around the clock and throughout the year.
The project includes 278 single buildings with 11 thousand residential units, 9.1 million square feet of retail space, and 8 million square feet of office space. In addition to 7,200 hotel rooms, 40 leisure destination, 37 public square, and 33 gardens.
The plan includes 25 gates and 8 different means of transportation such as the metro, trams, buses, and an antenna system transport (cable car).
