Dubai Marina, one of Dubai’s most popular districts with a coastline that spans 3 kilometers, was the preferred area to buy or rent a home in Dubai within 2018, a new report released by Property Finder, the leading UAE-based property listing website, revealed.
The report compared the performance and demand level of the local property market across Dubai’s different areas, concluding that the search for properties for sale in Dubai Marina was twice that of Downtown Dubai, the runner-up. The top five searched areas in the first half of 2018 also included Palm Jumeirah, Arabian Ranches and Jumeirah Village Circle.
As for the second half of the year, the prospective buyers’ search in the aforementioned areas did not witness any changes except for Jumeirah Village Circle, whose rank was taken over by Jumeirah Lakes Towers.
Dubai Marina also received the highest demand for properties for rent over the year 2018, with the remaining districts in the top 5 searched areas for rent being Downtown Dubai, Palm Jumeirah, Jumeirah and Al Barsha in the first half. In the second half, Al Barsha jumped up to the fourth rank while the fifth one was occupied by Business Bay.
It is worth mentioning that, in the last month, Select Group has started the handing over of the units of No.9, the waterfront project situated in Dubai Marina.
