The construction of Dubai’s Museum of the Future is on track. Steelworks is expected to be complete in the next three months, with approximately 90% of the concrete work done. The project should be ready for 2019 delivery.
One of the most intricately designed developments in the Middle East, The Museum of the Future website states the project will open in Q4 2019.
The oval-shaped structure features an impressive steel and glass façade and Arabic poem about innovation woven into the exterior of the building. It was designed by architectural firm Killa Design.
BAM International, the project contractor, has employed advanced building information modeling (BIM) and 3D modeling technologies to support the delivery of the project.
“We are nearly there, with approximately 90% of the concrete work done. It is going to be an engineering marvel.” said Denis McNelis, engineering manager at BAM International.
