Dubai’s new bridge is to be Complete in January 2018

In its newest announcement,  Dubai’s Road and Transport Authority stated that the Dubai’s new bridge that it is currently working on along with Emaar Properties is to be complete and open in January 2018.

His Excellency Mattar Al Tayer, chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of Dubai’s Road and Transport Authority, commented on Dubai’s new bridge saying that the project comprises the construction of a two-lane, one-way bridge that extends for 1,200 meters over the Dubai Water Canal, along with the necessary infrastructure and lighting works like shifting the impacted utility services like water and electricity

The bridge will start from the intersection of Al Khalil Road and Ras Al Khor Road, and will add two lanes that will extend the currently existing road by 480 meters and enable the traffic to flow directly from Al Ain Road to Al Khalil Road through the upper deck of the Financial Centre Road, His Excellency explained.

Dubai’s new bridge, which is planned to connect Al Khalil Road and Financial Centre Road, will aim at supporting Dubai Mall’s expansion to help it accommodate up to 100 million visitors annually and it will raise the capacity of the road to be 4500 vehicles per hour to help ease the pressure off the current roads.
