Saudi-based hospitality development company ‘Dur Hospitality’ has announced developing its first Marriott hotel in Yanbu, Saudi Arabia.
The company has signed a franchise agreement with Marriott International during the Arabian Hotel Investment Conference in Dubai.
The project will be developed on a total area of 7,647 square meters and its cost value is expected to hit 87 million riyals (23.1 million dollars).
The CEO of Dur Hospitality ‘Badr Al Badr’ mentioned that the company values its partnership with Marriot Hotels. He added that the company hopes to take this cooperation to the next level in accordance with its strategy of building partnerships with hotel operators.
About its participation in Arabian Hotel Investment Conference, Al Badr said that the company takes part to share its extended experience in hotel operation with international companies.
From his side, the managing director of Marriott International in Middle East and Africa ‘Alex Kyriakidis’ expressed his happiness with this partnership saying that KSA is one of the key markets in the region that will open the door for more properties to be launched in the future.
Kyriakidis hoped this agreement to open more opportunities in new cities and areas around the kingdom.
