The Kuwaiti government enabled assigning private real estate investors and developers to build and deliver the residential units for housing applications holders in Kuwait by submitting the executive regulation no. 113 for year 2014.
The new government’s decree consists with its vision of building a cooperation between public and private sectors for solving the housing problem in Kuwait. It also grants the private sector a pivotal role in solving the problem.
The executive regulation enabled the Public Authority for Housing Welfare to assign private companies to build and deliver units in the new residential cities under the direct supervision of the Kuwaiti Housing Ministry and according to its conditions.
The executive regulation requires all resorts to be built according to the standards adapted by the authority in its projects. It also requires selling the units with the cost price plus a predefined profits margin.
