Expo 2020 Dubai has announced it plans to award 47 real estate contracts worth Dh11 billion ($3 billion) during the current year.
This plan is part of the ongoing preparations to host the first International Expo International to be held in the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia.
Expo 2020 Dubai will also be awarding 98 non-real estate contracts worth Dh360 million ($98 million) by the end of this year. These contracts vary between providing legal advisory services, event management, and production of promotional goods.
The Expo explained that contracts for the current year are open to all local, regional, and international institutions. These contracts include the third and final phase of infrastructure support areas for the event, including parking lots.
The main contracts in the current year include three special areas for sub-topics of the event, which are scheduled to host the majority of events. They also include public areas and the design, development, and delivery of all infrastructure and temporary construction required for the launch event.
