A new financial fund has been announced to take place in the eastern region of Saudi Arabia with a capital of 100 million SAR. The fund is made to establish 20 chalets in the region.
The fund foundation will take place through Dana Gulf Company which uncovered it during a press conference held by the company and attended by a number of officials and businessmen in addition to Abdullatif Al Banyan the head of Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities in the eastern region.
Al Banyan said that the eastern region includes around 17 resorts and still need more resorts to occupy the rising numbers of tourists who prefer heading to the eastern region during the summer vacation.
The tourism sector growth in Saudi Arabia during the last eight years reached 7%. Experts expected tourism expenditure to reach more than 100 billion in 1441.
