First Bahrain Real Estate Development Company has announced, through its Board of Directors, that its Chairman Mr Waleed Ahmed AlKhaja has been appointed Acting CEO, reports BizBahrain. The current CEO of First Bahrain, Mr Amin Al Arryed, is filling the position of CEO for Edamah, the real estate arm of Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company (Mumtalakat), as Waleed AlKhaja takes over on 12th July 2018.
The First Bahrain Board has chosen its chairman for the achievements he has done for the company and for proving to be the right man for the position. During Mr Waleed AlKhaja’s period as chairman, the Company developed on multiple levels whether through its income or through its new projects in Janabiya and Seef.
Mr AlKhaja, who has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Management from the University of North Texas, has worked for nineteen years at the Investment Directorate of the Bahraini Ministry of Finance. Then, he held the positions of Director of Investment at the Pension Fund Commission of Bahrain, Executive Director of the SIO Asset Management Company, and Managing Director of AMAK Property and Development. He is also a member of a number of real estate and educational institutions and a former member of Seef Properties, Batelco Group and Bahrain Tourism Company.
