According to the figures issued by Dubai Land and Property Department, the value of foreign investments in Dubai real estate market last year reached 74 billion dirhams exceeding half the total investments in Dubai realty which reached 135 billion dirhams.
Indians came top with investments worth 22 billion dirhams in 2015 which make them the second nationality, after UAE nationals, investing in Dubai.
British investors came second with properties purchases worth in total 10 billion dirhams. Pakistanis came third with investments hitting 8 billion dirhams.
Across 2015 about 35,165 overseas investors poured their money in Dubai real estate market.
Sultan Butti Bin Mejren, head of Dubai Land and Property Department, commented on the issued statistics saying that Dubai enjoys high level of acceptance between foreign investors due to its high attributes and high return on investments.
The UAE nationals’ real estate investments value reached in total 26.08 billion dirhams. In respect of GCC investors Saudi Arabians came on top with purchases worth 9 billion dirhams done by 3,259 investors. Kuwaitis followed with investments worth 3 billion dirhams carried out by 1,117 investors.
It’s worth mentioning that Dubai ranks ahead all other real estate investment destinations in the Middle East region, moreover, it’s placed among global attractive destinations like New York, London, and Singapore.
