Jumeirah Golf Estates (JGE) has awarded a Dh400 million ($109 million) contract to Al Qabdah Building Contracting for its mid-market luxury residential community Alandalus.
Set on an area of 375 hectares, Alandalus is a Mediterranean-inspired collection of affordable luxury apartments and townhouses. Moreover, 75% of the development is dedicated to green landscaping with lakes and nature strips.
Al Qabdah will begin work with immediate effect on the construction of six apartment buildings (towers C-H). Construction of two other buildings (A-B) is currently ongoing.
Overall, Alandalus features 715 one to four-bedroom apartments and 95 townhouses. As well as the retail center which is due for completion before Expo 2020. There are also plans for a hotel development and JGE’s second clubhouse.
Jumeirah Golf Estates CEO Yousuf Kazim said: “Al Qabdah’s appointment is a sign of the rapid progress we are making on Alandalus, a community that introduced a new home concept to Dubai, combining luxury living with affordable prices in a highly desirable destination.”
“We have sold out both of the launched apartment towers – a positive response that is a testament to the success of JGE’s approach to bringing the right type of product to the market at the right price,” remarked Kazim.
Phased handovers are scheduled for the third quarter of 2019 beginning with Tower C. Towers A and B are due for handover by the first half of 2018.
