King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC) has leased a 35,906 square meter land plot in phase 3 of its industrial valley to Golden Tuna Company.
The company will exploit the land plot in establishing a tuna production factory. The project is expected to break ground by the end of this year.
The production of the tuna cans is expected to start by the beginning of 2018. The facility’s production will be catered to Egyptian, Saudi, and other GCC markets.
Golden Tuna said in an official statement that it looks forward to expanding its production capacity and enter new markets by investing in KAEC’s Industrial Valley.
The general manager of the company, Khaled Khalil, said that the decision was taken after exploring all possible investment opportunities and studying KAEC proportions and recent achievements.
It’s worth mentioning that 120 national, regional, and international companies are poised to invest in the Industrial Valley, 24 of which have begun production while 30 companies are still developing their production facilities.
The Industrial Valley includes various industrial sectors such as food production, pharmaceuticals, logistics, construction materials, plastic industries, and automotive industries.
