Kuwaiti government plans rescheduling development projects

The Kuwaiti government is planning to reschedule a number of development projects as a result of the budget deficit announced recently by the Minister of Finance Anas Al Saleh.

Al Anba daily newspaper indicated in reporting the Kuwaiti cabinet that government will reconsider its development project due to the budget deficit occurred as a result of the falling oil price, which has negatively affected its income.

The newspaper added in its report that the reconsideration step doesn’t mean cancelling the projects. It aims postponing the less-essential ones until oil prices improve.

In another respect, a number of huge development projects were announced in the country’s developmental plan including the geographical information system development project.

The developmental plan includes also establishing an integrated smart transportation system of metro project and pedestrian bridges throughout the country.
