Dar Al Arkan, the leading Saudi Arabia-based real estate developer, announced that it has signed a new agreement with Majid Al Futtaim, the renowned retail destinations’ developer in UAE.
As per the aforementioned contract, Majid Al Futtaim will be responsible for operating the 15-screen Vox Cinemas that is being developed in Dar Al Arkan’s Al Qasr Mall in Riyadh, the Saudi Arabian capital.
In his comment on the announced collaboration, Youssef Bin Abdullah Al Shelash, the chairman of Dar Al Arkan said that Majid Al Futtaim is the right partner to cooperate with in order to create an unprecedented cinema experience for both the residents and the visitors of the Saudi capital through the incorporation of the best and latest cinematic and entertainment technologies.
The Vox Cinemas development comes as a part of a major upgrade taking place within Dar Al Arkan’s iconic retail destination that will include adding new dining options and entertainment facilities. The multiplex is planned to open in the first quarter of 2019.
It is worth mentioning that Dar Al Arkan has reported a solid performance during the second quarter of 2018 as its profits surged up by almost 900% in comparison with the profits of the same period of 2017.
