Majid Al Futtaim Group has announced expanding City Centre Ajman to double its size from 29,000 square meters to 52,000 square meters.
The project’s costs are expected to hit around 163 million dollars. The expanded mall will include 150 new retail outlets and restaurants, new VOX cinema halls, and a new especially-designed children’s theatre.
The mall’s expansion is expected to be completed by the third quarter of next year. The expansion project will include running a number of additional redesigning and refurbishment works of the existing mall.
The chief executive officer of Majid Al Futtaim “Kim McInnes” said that the Northern emirates of UAE are key growth areas for Al Futtaim. He said that the company is set to deliver new retail units, dining, leisure, and entertainment venues in these locations that will cater to residents and visitors.
The expanded area of City Centre Ajman will feature contemporary designs and large spaces to accommodate the anticipated growth in residents and tourists.
