The leading retail and leisure company Majid Al Futtaim has announced the opening of the new $70.7 million extension in City Centre Sharjah.
With a gross leasable area of 51,428-square meters, the new extension includes the emirate’s first 12-screen Vox Cinemas as well as a diverse mix of 23 new home décor and furniture stores and world-renowned family restaurants.
The mall has been redesigned with a skylight roof to allow for more natural light and larger storefronts. Even the car parking has been revamped to accommodate 1,426 cars.
City Centre Sharjah’s expansion project is a part of the larger plan to increase Majid Al Futtaim’s investments in the Northern Emirates. This includes the recent opening of My City Centre Al Dhait in Ras Al Khaimah and the ongoing expansion of City Centre Ajman.
“The new, revitalized City Centre Sharjah is a result of valuable feedback from our long-standing customers who seek trendy international brands and exciting F&B concepts” said Fuad Mansoor Sharaf, managing director for Majid Al Futtaim Properties, Shopping Malls in UAE, Bahrain and Oman.
