The opening of Me by Melia Opus hotel in Dubai has been delayed to the fourth quarter of 2019 from fourth quarter of 2018, developer Omniyat has announced.
The hotel will be in the Opus, which is a development designed by Zaha Hadid. Stafan Vard, the hotel’s general manager has stated that it has been delayed due to further constructions.
The development comprises office space, a club and several restaurants as well as the hotel. The offices and commercial side of the building are finished and handed over and the residences are 80% done.
The hotel on the other hand has been pushed to Q4 of 2019. It is planned to comprise 19 hotel rooms and 98 serviced apartments.
“The Opus, designed by the late Dame Zaha Hadid, has been an incredible process that has demanded the upmost effort and collaboration from all our construction teams and partners.” Omniyat head of marketing and sales Mohammed Hmeid said.
