Millennium Hotels and Resorts, Middle East and Africa has announced the takeover of two hotels in Makkah.
Makkah Millennium Hotel and Makkah Millennium Towers will operate under the global flagship of Millennium Hotels and Resorts, Middle East and Africa starting September 1. Furthermore, a management agreement was signed with Makkah Construction & Development Company.
As the nearest hotels to Al Masjid Al Haram, both hotels provide direct access to The Holy Kaaba. The 614-key Makkah Millennium Hotel will undergo an extensive renovation and will be converted into a property part of The Biltmore Collection set. As for the 802-key Makkah Millennium Towers, which is adjacent to Makkah Millennium Hotel, it will continue to provide high service standards.
Ali Hamad Lakhraim Alzaabi, president and CEO, Millennium Hotels and Resorts MEA, said: “We are honored to enter into an agreement with Makkah Construction & Development Company, one of the kingdom’s most renowned real estate developers to operate these landmark hotels.
