New zoning classifications were approved by the Southern Municipal Council in Bahrain yesterday for the land plots surrounding Al Jazair beach which is considered Bahrain’s biggest public beach.
The land plots are expected to witness new real estate and tourism projects worth millions of dinars in the coming few years.
According to the Bahraini news outlet (GDN Online) the new classifications were proposed by the Ministry of Works, Municipalities, and Urban Planning as a part to allow the establishment of new family and commercial facilities around the beach.
Al Jazair beach is believed to be a central point in Bahrain’s tourism and real estate growth as it is one of the few magnificent beachfronts available in Bahrain Kingdom. The beach is surrounded also by many recreational and touristic locations not to mention numerous hotels of different tiers.
It is not the only beach in Bahrain, the Kingdom has a list of other fabulous recreational spots including Hawar island beaches, Zallaq beach and Sanabis beach.
Bahrain economic leadership has been keen on exploiting the kingdom’s various resources and strength points in diversifying its economy and decreasing the dependency on oil revenues. Between the strength points is Bahrain’s magnificent touristic attraction points including beaches, resorts, historical sites, and natural protectorates.
