Plans to build King Hamad mosque in Muharraq

During his latest visit to Bahrain, the Turkish president “Recep Tayyip Erdogan” has signed an agreement with His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to cooperate in establishing a new mosque in Muharraq.

“King Hamad” mosque is constructed by direct orders from His Highness the King of Bahrain and it is meant to reflect the true magnificence of Islam and its tolerance.

Standing in the heart of Muharraq, the new mosque will feature magnificent oriental and occidental styles of Islamic drawings and calligraphy carved on its walls. It’s expected also to showcase exotic architecture and aesthetic interior designs.

According to the signed deal, a delegation of Turkish architects will be sent to Bahrain in order to supervise the design of the mosque.

The mosque will reflect the deep-rooted relation between both countries which extends for many years.

In another respect, Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa the wife of HM the King and president of the Supreme Council for Women, has announced its plans of celebrating Bahraini Women’s day this year.

The celebration is meant to honour the Bahraini women engaged in the engineering field, which was met with great acceptance from all society sectors.
