Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority targets attracting around million visitors by 2018 through building 2000 extra hotel rooms.
The state is now negotiating with a number of real estate and hotels developers to execute the project.
The sate targets establishing a tourism attraction area for mature youth and adventure lovers. Hence, the state government is now undertaking a study around digital technology users.
The state is holding also the Institute of Travel and Tourism Conference which started yesterday and taking place for three days on Waldorf Astoria Hotel.
The state receives 400 high-level figures from British travel and tourism sector participating in the conference. The state organizes also a tour for delegations members including Ras Al Khaima landmarks like Morjan Islands which will witness building 20 hotels.
In another respect, tourism value in Ras Al Khaima State exceeded one billion dirhams for the first time in its history last year to rise by 72% compared to 2013 which enables the state to be a touristic attraction point in near future.
