Bahrain authorities commenced the revamp works on the North Town entrance roads, the project is funded by Kuwaiti Fund for Arab Economic Development as a part of the Gulf Development Programme.
The project cost reached 20.2 million dollars and it is expected to cater to 5,000 residential units scattered around the Northern Governorate in Bahrain. The project contracts were awarded to Al Ghanim International Company and Haj Hassan Group which will carry out the implementation.
Bahrain’s Minister of Works ‘Essam Khalaf’ said that the project is a part of the government’s plan to improve infrastructure services quality across the kingdom.
The project includes constructing a 1.2km road connecting Janabiya and Budaiya intersection with the North Town. Moreover, a 135m bridge will be constructed over the marine channel to facilitate traffic.
