Expo 2020 Dubai’s Steering Committee and The Bureau International des Expositions (BIE) have agreed with the governing body of the World Expo on the possibility of the postponement one year of “the world’s greatest event” as many countries did due to the impact of coronavirus (COVID-19).
Because of the COVID-19, The chief executive officer of Samana Developers has added after this announcement that the rescheduling of Expo 2020 until October 2011 has lent time to the UAE property developers to check the updates with the regulator the host of relaxation that will benefit developers and end-users alike.
Recapping the positive impact of the delay, the CEO added it is a good chance to detect the changing trends of the market and re-ranking their strategies for the local and international investors.
In a declaration, the CEO said the decision of the delay taken by the International Expo Committee and Dubai Government is very bold and wise.
Also, they said that many international events have been postponed due to the COVID-19 outbreak. This is the main reason why the world is trying to understand and commence the financial status upon this outbreak, by holding the Expo 2020 will not give them a fair platform because the world will be distracted and recovering.
They concluded if Expo 2020 Dubai is held in 2021, so Dubai will be given a roomy time to be prepared well and the world will be ready to witness the greatest show on earth.
