Saudi Entertainment Ventures Company, one of the subsidiaries of the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund, has unveiled its newest project which is planned to be the first entertainment complex.
Situated at the crossroads of both the Eastern Ring Road and King Abdullah Road, the entertainment complex will span around 10 hectares of land. The location of the project was strategically picked so that it would be close to the most vital highways of the city as well as the upcoming Riyadh Metro. It will comprise restaurants, retail outlets for world-renowned brands and cinemas.
In his comment on the new first-of-its-kind project, Abdullah bin Nasser Al-Dawoud, the chairman of the board of directors of Saudi Entertainment Ventures Company, gave out further details on what the complex will comprise, saying that it will house green spaces and open areas for sports activities, and host live shows.
The statement also explained that the complex will have the capacity to serve 50 million people every year and will help generate 22,000 new jobs. Details regarding the project’s name, development timeline or operation commencement date are yet to be revealed.
