Three new luxury eco-hotels are planned to open this year in Sharjah as part of the Sharjah Collection by South Africa-based Mantis Hospitality. The hotels are built in partnership with the Sharjah Investment and Development.
One of the hotels, the Kingfisher Lodge in Khor Kalba, is now in its soft launch. The luxury eco-lodge comprises 25 luxury tents in a desert wetland area of Sharjah which is home to mangroves, tidal creeks and beaches. The property also includes a wellness spa situated in a dedicated tent.
The other two properties are set to launch later this year. The first one, Al Badayer Oasis Lodge, will comprise 19 rooms and 10 tents, in addition to several restaurants and an open-air theatre.
The second one on the other hand, Fossil Rock, is a converted lodge that was originally built in the 1960s. It can house up to 10 guests at a location in Mleiha near the area’s archaeological ruins. It will also include a swimming pool and a spa.
