Abu Dhabi General Services Company (Musanada) has completed 32 percent of work on the Dh4.4 billion ($1.2 billion) Al Ain Hospital.
The project is expected to be complete at the end of 2018 and will be handed over to Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (Seha).
The concrete and steel structure is complete, main refrigeration equipment have been installed, as well as 25 percent of the building’s exterior.
Al Ain Hospital is located at Al Jimi in Al Ain city, over 347,000 square meters. It is comprised of the main hospital building, a 1,500-vehicle parking facility, a logistics centre, a 60-MW primary substation, and numerous facilities and medical treatment services.
The hospital will boast 104 advanced specialised clinics, 17 radiology rooms for X-ray, CT Scan, and MRI services, and 22 specialised rooms for endoscopy procedures and diagnosis.
With 719 beds, including 484 beds for general medicine, surgery, children’s ward and maternity; 67 for ICU; 142 for medical rehabilitation; and 26 for VIP patients and royal suites, the hospital will be able to meet the needs of the community.
Al Ain Hospital will provide state-of-the-art medical and technical equipment, guaranteeing integrated medical services for patients within the traditional environment of the UAE.
