Work is currently underway to set up 11 new hotels in the private sector to give more of a boost to the tourism development in Al Buraimi, Mahdha and Al Suninnah in Oman.
Zahran bin Mohammed al-Nabhani, director of tourism department in the Governorate of Al Buraimi, said that the private sector is currently building five hotels of different stars, five normal to deluxe hotel apartments projects and a luxury tourism camp.
The number of licensed hotel facilities in the governorate currently stands at 28. The new hotels will contribute to fulfilling the growing demand by tourists from inside and outside the sultanate.
The Governorate of Al Buraimi has many natural tourist attractions such as beautiful valleys, stunning golden deserts, in addition to cultural attractions such as ancient forts and the aflaj ancient irrigation systems.
